How lucky am I! Just about a year ago, I photographed Laura and Andrew’s beautiful November wedding. What a privilege to now have the opportunity to photograph Laura’s sister, Kim’s wedding!
This lovely bride from Pittsburgh met Matt from Long Island back in their undergraduate days at Villanova. They’re New Yorkers now, but chose Kim’s hometown for their wedding day.
Kim and Matt both got ready at the Omni William Penn downtown, and then had their ceremony at Epiphany Catholic Church, right next to the Consol Energy Center. From there, it was on to their reception at the Heinz History Center in the Strip District, with cocktail hour in the Great Hall followed by dinner and dancing upstairs in the Mueller Center.
Joining me as second shooter for the day was none other than my great friend Rrrrrrrrrandi Voss!
Kim’s dress was just stunning. She and her mom and sister were so excited for her to finally wear it!
Meanwhile, Randi was with Matt and his 9 groomsmen. The Mueller Center, on the 5th floor of the History Center, is much larger than the Great Hall on the first floor. Purple uplighting and beautiful floral arrangements from Botanical Emporium transformed the room. Kim and Matt were thrilled to have the opportunity to get a sneak peek at the room before the guests arrived.Look what we found for these New Yorkers! The talented band City Heat entertained this lively crowd.
Congratulations, Kim and Matt! It was such a pleasure to be a part of another wedding day with you. I didn’t want to end! :)
