Since Molly and Andy live in Los Angeles, we had no margin for error when it came to scheduling their engagement session. And by “margin for error,” what I’m of course referring to is the complete wild card that is spring weather in Pittsburgh. Two days after their session, we had a day with sun, rain, sun, rain, hail, sun and rain. But the day of Molly and Andy’s session, we knew that no matter what, this shoot was going to happen, because they’d be hopping on a plane back to LA.
Molly and Andy chose the location: her childhood home. Molly’s mom, Debbi, has a beautifully landscaped yard full of spring blooming azaleas and rhododendrons. So much color! This was a wonderful place for photos, and we were relieved that while storms threatened all day, we didn’t have to fall back on our indoor rain backup plan.
Molly and Andy, it was a pleasure to spend this evening with you, and I’m very much looking forward to your wedding next month at the Hotel Monaco.
