Back, back in time we go, back to May, when I was happy to have the opportunity to assist the one and only Aaron Varga at Krista & Steve’s wedding. It was a pretty dreary day with only a few fleeting dry moments, but thankfully some of those dry moments aligned with the time we had for portraits both before and after the ceremony. Kinda. But really – there was so much sparkle every where you looked, both literally and figuratively, that the weather made no difference.
Having photographed well over 100 weddings, it’s a great feeling when you see something new that you’ve never seen before. And I will tell you that what happened during Krista’s dance with her mother was definitely something I’d never seen before… see below.
Krista and Steve got ready at the Hampton Inn in Monroeville. Their lovely ceremony was at Cross Roads Presbyterian Church, with reception following at West Overton Barn in Scottdale.
So, about that mother daughter dance. Krista and her mother are very close, and they decided to share a special dance at the reception. As they danced and embraced, they got even closer… which led to their hairpins getting stuck in each other’s hair… and sticking their heads together. They found this hilarious. And don’t worry, there was no lasting damage – Steve came to the rescue and helped them break apart.
Congratulations, Krista and Steve!
