Right on East Carson Street in the South Side, The Milkshake Factory/Chocolate Celebrations (note: there’s music when you launch the link to their site) is a timeless little dessert haven. The exterior sets the stage for the vintage feel within.
Once you enter, you immediately see an amazing spread of chocolates of all shapes and sizes and colors, each with a label that perfectly matches the vintage look.
Is your mouth watering yet?
I loved these colorfully wrapped chocolates. Beautiful and delicious.
Opposite the display case stands a wall of exquisitely packaged truffles and other delicacies.
As if all the chocolate (by Edward Marc Chocolatier) wasn’t enough… then there’s the ice cream! Two freezers full of amazing flavors, which create a menu of 55 flavors of milkshake. The best one I’ve had was a pumpkin milkshake in the fall. They added a little cinnamon and it was divine.
Here’s a small sampling of the milkshake flavors:
- chocolate mint chipper
- blueberry cheesecake
- butterscotch
- root beer
- black forest cherry
- chocolate raspberry truffle
- chocolate banana
- mango
- pina colada
- dark chocolate blueberry
- cajun chocolate
- bear claw
- oreo mint
- dulce de leche
- cinnamon
- chocolate cinnamon
- mocha java
- toffee coffee
- toasted almond fudge java
Yum. I highly recommend paying them a visit!
