The Best View in Pittsburgh: PointView Hall at the Carnegie Science Center

I love Pittsburgh. And one of my favorite things about Pittsburgh is how beautiful the city looks from the North Shore. When you stand across the river from Point State Park, you get an incredible view of the city skyline, the bridges, the rivers, and even Mount Washington.

And now thanks to a brand new addition to the Carnegie Science Center, that view can be the background of your wedding or special event! The PPG Science Pavilion includes new exhibit space and classrooms. AND, on the third floor, a beautiful event space perfect for a wedding or any special event. It’s a clean, modern space featuring the latest technology and design… and a completely unparalleled view of Pittsburgh.

But it’s not just a view from inside. Step out onto PointView Terrace and take in the panoramic view in every direction. Walk to one end and look down the Allegheny River to the Fort Duquesne Bridge and beyond. Straight ahead, you have the city skyline and Point State Park. Walk down to the other end and you can look down the Ohio River toward the West End Bridge.

You can’t get this view anywhere else in Pittsburgh!

But it’s not all about the view. Part of the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, the Science Center partners with exclusive caterer Culinaire. Their innovative cuisine is delicious, but also beautifully presented. If there hadn’t been that incredible view drawing me outside, I could have spent a whole evening just photographing the food.

So there’s an amazing view, great space, and excellent food – but there’s still more. Couples who have their weddings at the Science Center can choose any number of science-related demonstrations to entertain their guests. You can also even incorporate science into your food and beverage with options like a Liquid Nitrogen Signature Drink.

And to tie everything together, the Science Center Events Team is terrific! These are people who love what they do and have a great time doing it. And that, my friends, is the key to success anywhere!
