Leigh and David’s relationship began in Austin. From there they went to Alaska, where they studied glaciers for a couple years, and have just moved back to Pittsburgh, Leigh’s hometown.
Leigh and David were clear that they wanted to get beautiful photos, but that enjoying their wedding day with their family and friends was very important to them. And, specifically, the dance party was important! Leigh confided that David is a good dancer, to which he replied, “she’s marrying me, she has to say that.” I can tell you objectively, because as one not married to David, that it’s true. It really was quite a dance party! I’m going to share a lot more reception photos than I typically do in honor of this fabulous party, and that celebration is what it’s all about.
Yes… it rained… but not enough to deter this couple from getting some photos outside anyway! Thanks so much to Erica Dietz for photographing this wedding with me – her photos are mixed in with mine below.
You know it’s going to be a great day when one of the bridesmaids shows up wearing this shirt!
This is the “our dresses have pockets!” dance.
This little dog Bella was the sweetest little thing. Look at her wistfully gazing out the window.
OMG these socks. How can you pick a favorite? Otters are my favorite animal, but look at the ones with Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster! Before the ceremony, the guys waited in the church basement and made their own fun.
