Ah, the Wedding Tales of 2021! Like many couples who planned 2020 weddings, Amy and Dom postponed their wedding to 2021. They did NOT get married in a small ceremony in 2020 with celebration to follow… this was the real deal. We spent the months, weeks and even days before their wedding anxiously watching the guidelines evolve and change. While Amy and Dom had originally planned a larger reception at the Carnegie Science Center, they scaled back to just bridal party and immediate family at Roost in Downtown Pittsburgh. Up until the last minute, it was possible some of the bridal party wouldn’t be able to bring their significant others to the ceremony at Heinz Chapel. Fortunately, it worked out and the entire day worked out perfectly.
We began the day at the Industrialist Hotel, a boutique hotel close to Market Square. Amy and Dom had their first look and some casual portraits in and around PPG Plaza, before heading off to Oakland for their Heinz Chapel ceremony.
Everything at Roost was wonderful – terrific food, attentive service and a unique space. Amy and Dom surprised their guests with an elegant, smooth and romantic rhumba and then everyone danced the night away.
While it wasn’t the original plan, it was a wonderful day for Amy and Dom, surrounded only by the people closest to them.
