Right after Thanksgiving I had the pleasure of meeting Rachel and Lee in downtown Pittsburgh to shoot their engagement pictures. I’m a little behind schedule in sharing a few favorites here, but I’ve had a little trouble staying focused after a fast-paced family vacation to Orlando. But now is the time!
We started on Grant Street near Oxford Center.
Love Rachel’s boots! Thanks to Jared for coming along to help carry stuff and hold a light. We made our way down to PPG Place. Even on a Monday evening, there were lots of skaters on the rink. But at this moment it was empty as the zamboni was making its rounds. This isn’t really relevant except that zamboni is such a great word, and I think it should be used as much as possible. I think this is my favorite image from their session – I just love that they only have eyes for each other. We paid a visit to the newly renovated Market Square too.
The lights behind Rachel and Lee here were synchronized with music and were flashing off and on. It took a little patience to get a shot with all the lights on. Thanks to Rachel and Lee for being such good sports despite the cool temperatures. After an outfit change, we made a quick trip up to Mt. Washington. It was COLD up there! More kudos to Rachel and Lee for braving the cold temperatures.
Rachel and Lee, it was fun spending the evening with you! Looking forward to a bright and early start on your wedding in May.

Rachel and Lee don’t look cold at all–so they must be having a great time. I don’t know how I missed this post, but I love the lighting and bokeh in photo-7.
