Jamie and David got lucky… despite the deluge of rain Pittsburgh has seen over the past couple of weeks, they got a not-too-hot, not-too-cold dry day for their wedding. That’s my favorite kind of weather, too, so I was quite happy for it to be the one to officially start my wedding photography season.
Color of the day: purple. These are Jamie’s shoes.
While I was with Jamie and her bridesmaids, my second shooter Aaron Varga was with groom David at his house. Love the reflection here.
Matron of honor Lisa. I know that you don’t hire your potential matrons of honor… but Lisa was amazing. So supportive, helpful, and thoughtful. I feel like I want to recommend her just like I recommend other vendors I love to work with. Even if it doesn’t really make any sense… I think she may be a little busy with her adorable 6-month-old most of the time…Here’s Jamie, ready to get in the limo and go get married.
After the ceremony, we headed over to the North Shore. There were a lot of out-of-towners in the group who were impressed at how beautiful downtown Pittsburgh is. No secret to those of us who live here, of course.
Check out these jumps!Photo by Aaron, who did an amazing job all day. Thank you Aaron! We were also joined by Randi and Nicki, my teammates at Syncopated Pictures. Keep an eye on the SP blog…
Jamie and David’s reception was held at Pittsburgh’s Grand Hall at the Priory Hotel. As always, the service there was excellent. The service is so prompt and the staff so attentive. David told me that his brother, Best Man Jake, lives in San Francisco and works for Flickr. Living the dream? DJ Gordon Slagle kept everyone dancing.
Congratulations Jamie and David! I hope you have a wonderful, fabulous, relaxing honeymoon in Mexico.

Christina, these are awesome! I especially love the photos of the shoes and rings — you rock the detail shots. I also really like the second first-dance photo; I love when you can see friends and family smiling right along with the bride and groom. The shot of them outside is great too :)
beautiful. i especially like the first dance photo.
My favorite is the first dance photo, the second photo specifically. The Priory is so beautiful and Jamie and David really enjoyed their first dance together. And everyone watching is just as happy to see them dancing. It was great to be there with you and Aaron.
I agree with Aaron that my 2nd favorite is the outdoor nighttime photo. Jamie has a great profile and the flash/ambient light is balanced just right! Yay!
Christina, you were amazing! It was wonderful working with you and the pictures look wonderful…I can’t wait to see the rest of them! Thank you for making the day go so smoothly…I will be definitely recommending you to everyone I know!
Awesome pictures!! And i totally have to agree with Lisa being an awesome Matron of Honor (and she’s even bette sister!)….I know she’ll do a great job with my wedding! Keep up the awesome work!
