Each winter, I order some new photos to hang on the walls in my home. I have some favorites that I’ll never replace (or at least, not for a long time) but I like to bring in something new each year for a little change.

This year, I decided it was time to find some photos for our first floor bathroom, which had one, plain, empty wall. Looking at the wall, I thought a group of four landscape photos would be just perfect. I didn’t want photos of people, and thought about using photos from New York or the beach but couldn’t find a group of four that I liked.

I gave a bit more thought to what comes in fours. Then it hit me: seasons! And what better place to represent the four seasons than Phipps, one of my favorite spots in all of Pittsburgh.

Picking one photo from each season wasn’t easy (especially spring), but after a lot of agonizing, I did it. Here they are.
